Description: Growing to around 50?ft (15?m) tall, this palm has a narrow trunk ringed with the scars of old leaf bases and topped with a prominent crownshaft bearing spiny-tipped fronds up to 5?ft (1.5?m) long. The leaflets, or pinnae, of its fronds are very numerous

Growth Habit: Slender trunk with crown of spiny-tipped fronds

Comments: Not often seen in cultivation
