Description: Derived from Deutzia purpurascens and D. sieboldiana, of garden origin, this is an upright shrub to about 5 ft (1.5 m) with ovate to oblong-ovate leaves with uneven sharp teeth on the margins. Cymes of pink flowers appear in early summer.
