Description: Native to the Alps, northwest Italy, the northwest Balkans and eastern Europe, this is a small, low-spreading shrub reaching 12 in (30 cm) in height with a spread of 22 in (55 cm). Its dark green, linear leaves are arranged in whorls of 4 on the branches.
