Description: Sometimes listed as Acer creticum, this is a densely branched shrub or small evergreen tree to 30 ft (9 m), native to Crete, Turkey and Lebanon. In cold areas it may retain some foliage, which is leathery, shiny green and either 3-lobed or unlobed.
