Description: From southeastern USA, this is a deciduous tree to 60 ft (18 m) with an open crown and large crooked branches. The leaves are oblong to egg-shaped, 6 in (15 cm) long, deeply and irregularly lobed, dark green above, paler and smooth or white-hairy beneath.
