Name: Leiophyllum
Cultivation: CULTIVATION: This shrub dislikes lime and should be grown in humus-rich soil in a sheltered site with morning sun or light shade. It is suitable for growing in the rock garden. Propagation is from seed or half-hardened cuttings.
Description: There is just a single species of dwarf evergreen shrub in this genus that is part of the same family as Rhododendrons. Native to eastern USA, it has small box-like leaves and is grown for its tiny, starry, spring flowers.
