Early Tomatoes
Every year I seem to pick a tomato plant variety that's not ready for picking until now.
This year's no exception. I have had maybe 6 beefeater size tomatoes & the same with a cherry tomato size.
They both have lot's of green ones but the sun isn't strong enough now to ripen them.
Can you suggest varieties that I can pick the fruit around July/Aug/Sept time and when do I plant them next spring.

Re: Early Tomatoes
When exactly do you pick them?
I usually leave them on the plant till they ripen or before the first frost.
This year it has been pretty warm, so you could have left them till about now, they would have gotten more sun.

Re: Early Tomatoes
I didn't make my point clear.
I am picking them now. I still have a lot of green ones growing now.
My guess is they will stay green until I pull the plants out.
I have waited all summer and into the fall only to pick just a few.
I'm wondering if there's a variety that will produce tomatoes earlier or the answer is just plant bigger seedlings next spring so the fruit is ready earlier.
