bing and red cherry trees

last week i planted 2 bing cherry one red cherry and two harrow crisp pear trees approx.  6 feet tall. approx.18 feet apart.dug 30 in. diameter holes (trees were in 24in pots)and added a mixture of composted sheep manure peat moss and a little limestone dust.soil was approx. 8 in. of black earth with sand below.where they are planted.with good drainage.......should i cut the sod back more or progressively cut it back each year as the trees grow? what sort of much should i add ? can you buy it in a bag?any tips on if i have planted right or how to grow fruit trees would be appreciated.
