Sumac trees
Has anyone used a Sumac tree in a narrow border as a highlite plant/tree .. I'm wondering if it is difficult to maintain in a dwarf type speciman stature ?

I have a sumac when you come through my gate.
It is hard to keep small,It is in the way of the walk but it's so nice I left it.

Re: Sumac trees
I HAVE NUMEROUS SUMAC TREES ON MY PROPERTY AND THEY ARE LOVELY. THEY DO SEND OFF RUNNERS AND WILL SPREAD VERY FAST, BUT YOU CAN KEEP THEM THINNED OUT EASILY. I HAVE LEFT THEM DUE TO THE 'ORIENTAL FEEL' THEY HAVE GIVEN OUR COTTAGE PROPERTY.
I WOULD RECCOMEND THEM. ENJOY
