Garden Floors and Walls

The floor and walls offer the basic structure to the garden room, setting the tone in stone or brick, wood, gravel or grass. And even though these elements may seem fixed, there is still scope for decoration with imagination and flair.

For visual impact, you can combine hard and soft textures, setting a Victorian rope-effect edging next to a emeral lawn, for example, or you can vary the levels. A floor patterned with tiles can have an instant decorative effect, while planting a lawn with chamomile in place of grass will provide a beautifully subtle fragrance when walked on.
